Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic 19th century antique Victorian tiger oak 6 drawer file cabinet. This is a massive cabinet measuring 63 wide x 23 1/4 deep x 44 tall.

The file has 6 graduated drawers measuring 51 wide x 18 deep with the top 2 having 4 of useable height, the third having 4 1/4, fourth 4 1/2, fifth 5 1/8, and the bottom drawer is the largest with 6 of useable height. Its rare to find file cabinets with extra decoration like this one because they were generally library or business pieces and additional work would have to be custom ordered and incur an extra charge.

Weve thoroughly enjoyed having this in our warehouse. The 44 work surface height is comfortable to work at and all the drawers actuate with ease and retain their original heavy duty brass pulls. The file is in great condition with our only condition notes being minimal age expected surface wear, small cut outs to the right side of the top at the corners, and the two bottom locks are missing. This didn't come to us with a key but the lock doesn't look too sophisticated so a locksmith should be able to fabricate a key. You could also simply just replace all the locks and have a superb locking valuables cabinet.

We can get you special services in certain cases, but you are responsible for telling us you require them and for the extra cost of these services, if you instruct our shippers to provide services beyond curbside deliveries.
