We're a third generation family owned business furnishing homes all over the world. With our highest compliments we're pleased to offer for sale this absolutely wonderful early tiger oak revolving bookcase by the John Danner co.

John Danner patented his design in 1876 and they were offered in a few select varieties. The entire oak structure is suspended a top a central inner column. Similar "lazy susan" designs were available at the time but Danners bookcases were crafted much better with a single pivot point supporting the bookcase giving the easiest operation. John Danner said These cases, with their immense load, revolve with a slight touch of the hand; are noiseless in operation, and will last a lifetime. Danner bookcases are differentiated by numbers corresponding to the number of shelves. This is either a standard 3 or champion 3 we're so busy at the moment we don't even have the time to see the difference in minutia. We've attached a photo from Danner's original catalog solely for reference only. The entire catalog is available online through many public archives.

With special attention to the "Special Orders, Pattern or Size" portion of the catalog Any style of case can be made, but only those on the catalogue are kept in stock. Special patterns, to match other furniture, will of course take extra time and cost more than the regular cases which are made by the hundred and kept in stock. This bookcase is a better than most example with the additional carved gadrooned edge. We went over this with a fine eye and did not see any repairs to the vertical stiles.

The bookcase is 20 3/4" wide x 20 3/4" deep x 46 tall. When the book stand is fully engaged the height is 54 1/2. We have expert woodworkers and re-finishers on staff to service any piece of furniture we offer. We represent all merchandise in absolute good faith and to the very best of our ability. We perform this service without the cost of labor as an appreciation for your patronage. This and our volume shippers discount creates a substantial lower cost for you. They are not furniture movers who bring the items into your home.

We can get you special services in certain cases, but you are responsible for telling us you require them and for the extra cost of these services, if you instruct our shippers to provide services beyond curbside deliveries. We are responsible for any additional services and charged for these services. Again the process is all designed to protect your investment and is an option offered for your protection. We dont like to send nice people off with things tied to roof racks.

We are not a storage facility. We are happy to hold your items for a reasonable pre-agreed upon period. We have a zero tolerance policy for non-paying buyers. Any offer we accept is a binding sale and subject to the conditions herein.
