There is not a maker's mark on this piece. It was probably built in place for the bar owner near the turn of the century. According to the owner of Star Antiques, the piece was consigned to him from a gift shop owner in Greenwood, Texas, who was going out of business. The owner of the gift shop rescued it from a barn in Ohio, in the 1970s and had it refinished and replaced the mirror. She used it as a storage and display piece in her gift shop. It is a great example of Mission Style built at the height of its popularity.
It is 8 feet wide and stands 7 feet ten inches high and it is 18 inches deep. It has three drawers and three doors that open up to a large space that would have stored wine or liquor. I have used it in two of my houses as a buffet server and it now works in my living room to hold all the granddaughter's toys in the base. It is a lovely piece and I hate to part with it but no room in the next house.
It breaks down into two pieces for moving. A beautiful piece that commands attention.
