The only place I have ever seen a picture of this desk is in a PG&E Utility office here in California, they had historical Telephone Operators pictures on the wall & this desk was in a couple of the pictures, but no where on the Inter-web? The desk is in Amazing condition for over a 100 years old. No issues at all except one (1) drawer is missing, I was gonna make one but unfortunately I have been told that I need to move.
This was a keeper, so sadly I have to sell it. When top is closed all drawers lock and it also has the Original key, wow! The finish on it is Amazing!
An Original Fumed Black color, it has amazing patina, with some wear on the main desk board that only a 100 years could produce could produce. It has the Original metal caster wheels, so it is easy to move around the house. All Original hardware, key and finish! This desk is like Rare cars, they will only keep going up in price, Great investment, Like I said it is extremely rare, please let me know if anyone else has ever seen this desk before?
