An Antique Victorian/Edwardian tiger oak. Ry box or compendium by Parkins & Gotto from Oxford Street, London. The stationery box has been very lightly brought back to its formal glory to reflect a beautiful antique look. Has its signs of use, but that is lifting the overall appeal and look of this lovely stationery box. The size of the box: Length: 32 cm; Wide: 20 cm Height: 32 cm; 63 wide when it is opened. This box is veneered in beautiful tiger oak wood with decorative brass hinges and handle on the bottom drawer. The top opens to the right and to the left to reveal the original dividers for letter, cards, etc.. It comes with a key which locks the 2 doors, the doors are not 100% parallel when closed but they do close in and the key is working. I took a picture from the box closed so you can see it yourself as well. There is one small piece of wood missing under the left door, again one of the picture is showing it.
I will not accept return for reasons like it is scratched or has some light paint cracks here and there or for any imperfection, it is an antique stationery box and that is showing its age, in my opinion it makes it looking even better. High quality pictures are there to look at for the true state of this compendium.
