Antique Wood Trophy Bowl Tiger Oak Pedestal Siliverplate Ceramic insert Handles. This listing is for a distinctive English Trophy Bowl in tiger oak with ceramic insert with silver plate accents. This Trophy bowl has 2 handles, pedestal base and 2 shields that are not monogrammed on the front and back of the bowl. This bowl stands about 7" tall on a 2 1/2" pedestal, is about 10" in diameter or 12 1/2" handle to handle, base is 5 7/16 in diameter. This bowl does have some condition issues.

The silver plate has been over polished down to base metal in places. Silver plate trim is missing a few screws on trim around the bowl and shields.

Wood does have an age crack. Ceramic insert is solid and intact but does show crazing and a crack and possibly on old repair that has been painted over. Even with condition issues this bowl with deep wood grain and classic English style displays well. Makers marks may have been polished away but this items does resemble a Daniel & Arter bowl we listed earlier this year. Current owners of this bowl received this item as a wedding present 40 years ago and have no knowledge if the items prior history.
