Early 20th c. Tiger Oak Single Door Bookcase With original Glass & Casters

  
This lovely early 20th century single door bookcase is constructed entirely of tiger oak, with four adjustable and removable shelves of the same material. Its four bun feet all nest casters and the elaborate brass ring pull and escutcheon are done in vaguely foliate scroll work. The glass pane in the door is originally to the piece and is in excellent condition, with no signs of cracking or chipping along the edges. The molding along the top and bottom of the piece is simple and elegantly done in the Empire Revival style. The piece measures 57 7/8" high, 30" wide, 13 deep, and weighs approximately 50 - 75 lbs. This piece is in very good condition but show light signs of wear to the wood from age and use.
