Currently he builds custom acoustic guitars. This piece is a prime example of American Arts & Crafts Furniture circa 1920. It as absolutely beautiful Quarter-Sawn White Oak with big ray-fleck (called "Tiger Oak" by some). I'll let the photos speak for themselves. This piece was acquired for my 2015 Book "Furniture Refinishing Made Simple" and is featured as the prop for cleaning furniture.
No other restoration has been done. This is quite a piece!!!!!!! It's a nice size as a small desk. I do not have the key for the fall front, but these keys can be easily made by a locksmith if you choose. I have it stored in a climate controlled 2nd floor warehouse with elevator and will help you load it.
This piece was acquired 10 years ago. Please note that it has only been owned by me, and I have to part with it as we are remodeling. This piece is all solid oak except for the fall front which is veneered; typical construction for a fall front to minimize wood movement.
