Vintage 11 Drawer GERSTNER Quartersawn Tiger Oak Chest, 20 inch, Restored. The item for sale is a 1950's vintage H Gerstner & Sons 11 drawer machinists chest. The chest is constructed of a mixture of solid and veneer quartersawn oak. The chest has a locking top that, when opened, unlatches the front panel that slides down and under the drawers. The dimensions are 20 " wide, 15 3/4 " high, and 9 1/2 deep, a 042 unit.

This chest is extremely well built with superb joinery and quality materials. The drawers have galvanized steel bottoms covered with felt to provide proper moisture free storage. The inside of the locking top is also felt covered.
