American Oak Quarter Sawn Fireplace Mantel The wood is tiger oak, both beautiful and rare. It still has the original beveled mirror. Has a large opening more adaptable to modern construction.

CONDITION: It has been professionally refinished (several decades ago according to the prior owner). Some light wear can be seen: a barely visible water mark on mantel shelf, very minor darkening from smoke where appropriate and some very minor nicks on the top. However considering the age, it's in very good condition and has had excellent care.

The "wreath" above the firebox opening has a small chunk out of it but I would probably keep it as is as the patina is so pretty. The photos are part of the description. Please review the pictures carefully.
