Golden tiger oak & brass fret library case is in beautiful mint condition with original french polished finish, good slim proportioned design, beautiful golden colour and patina to the tiger oak white enamel dial with roman numerals and original fancy hands signed to the centre Knight & Gibbins of London. There is a silent/chime lever to left hand side The dial is in mint condition protected by its convex glass hinged bezel door Triple Train 5 rod musical Westminster chime movement in full working order with a floating balance escapement, movement is signed Knight & Gibbins London with a silent/chime feature to dial Measurements - 12 inches high x 8.5 inches wide x 5 inches deep Maker - Knight & Gibbons London Date - C1970's.

This clock is a beautiful vintage Knight & Gibbins Of London golden tiger oak westminster chime musical regulator library clock with superb proportions all in mint condition and full working order with original instruction booklet and original booklet catalogue. The main case has a hinged glazed front door protecting the dial and a hinged tiger oak back door with a turn latch which provides easy access to the movement. The case is in excellent mint condition and looks amazing wherever it is displayed with a stunning finish to the golden tiger oak and brass fret case.

The clock sits elegantly with 4 matching brass bracket feet with brass fret and red silk sounding panels to the front which echoe the sound of the musical chimes with ebonised pillars either side of the clock and the quality to the whole thing is absolutely superb and one of the very best i have seen as you would expect from Gibbons & Knight Of London. The clock features a white enamel dial with roman numerals with roman numerals and original fancy hands. The dial is signed to the centre by the makers Knight & Gibbins London. The dial features a silent/chime lever to the left hand side which is used to silence the musical chimes. The dial is in mint condition. The 8 day movement has a floating balance escapement and is striking the Westminster chime on 4 gong rods every quarter of an hour. The quarter chiming musical chimes every quarter of an hour on 4 rods and the hourly strike on 3 of rods after the musical chimes have finished playing. The Westminster chimes work as they should and sound absolutely beautiful when playing as can be seen and heard in the video above. The movement has all just been professionally stripped, cleaned and serviced so is in perfect working order and is chiming superbly and ticks away beautifully, the movement is signed with the makers stamp of Knight & Gibbins London. The selection lever for the choice of chime or silent is located on the left side of the dial so you can silence the chimes if you wish to.

12 inches High x 8.5 inches Wide x 5 inches Deep. This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece a very very rare clock of the highest quality. Looks absolutely fantastic wherever it is displayed and a true talking point of any room. Exceptional clock which will only grow significantly in value over the years being a special commission piece and you will be hard pressed to find another such fine example.
