Vintage Victorian American Tall Tiger Oak Bed Double or Queen with Claw Feet. We are proud to offer an extremely nice estate furniture. It is simple, elegant, and classic all rolled into one. Nice carving and claw feet.

The bed was manufactured to be approximately full / double. The inside width is 53 inch which is slightly shy of a standard full. To use as a standard full you could use a smaller box spring or attach metal hollywood bed frame. Also, a queen bed width is 60 inch. Because the width at the widest of the bed is 58 1/2 inch, the 3/4 inch overlap on either side works well visually. A metal hollywood bed frame would make the change very easy. This was remade in the 1980s. Seems to have used original antique parts and refinished and reworked with some newer parts at that time. An old Victorian bed that was remade in the 1980's with some newer parts used in the remanufacturing. Subsequent normal use and wear since then. The footboard has a wear mark through the veneer which is photographed. Some normal age drying cracks. Ome wear is normal and appropriate to an item of this age.
