Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this wonderful early 20th century antique Arts & Crafts Tiger Oak desk chair. The chair was made by the Milwaukee chair company and is signed on the metal mechanism at the base with a patent date of October 20th, 1914. The company was founded in 1889 and quickly became one of the biggest employers and producers of furniture in the area.

The original factory was destroyed in the 1899 fire but like a phoenix from the ashes they rose again. The company continued to produce furniture until they eventually closed their doors in the mid 20th century. This is probably the most desirable desk chair they made and it's super comfortable thanks to the spring cushion & padded back. The chair is free of any rips or holes but there is some light staining on the back of the seat. The height can be adjusted with the mechanism on the base and the spring base allows the chair to flex as well. The chair measures 24" wide x 20" deep x 44 tall. The seat measures 18 1/4" at the narrowest point between the arms x 20" deep with a 20 1/2 seat height at the height we photographed this at.

We represent all merchandise in absolute good faith and to the very best of our ability. We perform this service without the cost of labor as an appreciation for your patronage.

This and our "volume shippers" discount creates a substantial lower cost for you. They are not furniture movers who bring the items into your home.

We can get you special services in certain cases, but you are responsible for telling us you require them and for the extra cost of these services, if you instruct our shippers to provide services beyond curbside deliveries. We are responsible for any additional services and charged for these services. We don't like to send nice people off with things tied to roof racks.

We are not a storage facility. We are happy to hold your items for a reasonable pre-agreed upon period. We have a zero tolerance policy for non-paying buyers.
