Antique 19th Century English Tiger Oak Writing Desk Work Table
This is a stunning antique 19th century English tiger oak writing desk or work table, possibly made by Globe Wernicke and likely from the 1890s. It features beautiful serpentine legs and two drawers, and the legs are hinged so the table can be folded away for storage or transport if disassembled. Each drawer has a rustic brass keyhole and lock, but no handles or pulls no keys, so they have to be opened from the bottom.
Solid and sturdy, with cosmetic imperfections consistent with age. Drawers open and close smoothly. Top is in great condition for its age.
