Antique Adjustable Japanned Copper Flash Gothic Tiger Oak Piano Stool wBack Rest. Offered for your consideration is this Antique early 1900's Adjustable Japanned Copper Flash Ornate Base Organ/Piano Stool supporting a Solid Quartersawn Oak Formed Seat and Back Rest. It measures from 32" -36.5" high depending on the vertical adjustment. This has been profesionally refinished and the wood is satin smooth. The 14" diameter tiger oak formed seat carries convex profile rounded edging and adjusts from 17.5"-22" high comfortably (It adjust higher than 22" but the higher you go past this point the more play the threaded post has which results in more seat sway).

The hardware & mounting detail on this gem is no joke and is absolutely stunning. The top canopy of the central housing consists of gothic gazebo style arches. There is then a twisted pillar that descends into acanthus scrolls then to a a 4 part beaded & ribbed collar support. First part of each leg is attached under the top canopy and second part of each leg flows under the beaded collar support and just about the bottom bolted gothic paneled finial of the main housing to insure structural integrity. They just don't make them with this much pizzazz anymore.
