Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic early 20th century antique Arts & Crafts Period Gustav Stickley Tiger Oak rocking chair. Commonly referred to as a V back, this chair was offered with either a rush seat or a hard leather seat. We often find these chairs redone with spring seats like this one because the rush and the leather wasn't too durable or comfortable. The chair has a green leather seat with decorative brass tacks at the corners.

The chair has a 5 slat back made from attractive cuts of Quarter Sawn Oak with vibrant rays present in the grain. The chair has shaped paddle arms and the rocker blades are original and free of damage.

The chair is tenoned & pegged at every joint and is a wonderful early piece of Craftsman Furniture. The chair is in great condition with our only notes being the chair has been refinished, reupholstered, and there's very minimal surface wear on the lower rail of the back. The chair measures 26" wide at the arms x 28 1/2" deep at the blades x 34" tall with a 16" seat height. The seat measures 20 1/2" wide (18" between arms) x 18 deep.

We perform this service without the cost of labor as an appreciation for your patronage. This and our "volume shippers" discount creates a substantial lower cost for you. They are not furniture movers who bring the items into your home. We can get you special services in certain cases, but you are responsible for telling us you require them and for the extra cost of these services, if you instruct our shippers to provide services beyond curbside deliveries.

We are responsible for any additional services and charged for these services. Again the process is all designed to protect your investment and is an option offered for your protection.

We don't like to send nice people off with things tied to roof racks. We are not a storage facility. We are happy to hold your items for a reasonable pre-agreed upon period.
