Vintage commemorative gold toned desk set. We have retro-fitted it with an earlier dial and handset and m atched it to an attractive oaken melodic ringer box to wall mount or place on your carpet. This unique antique 1936 D-1 oval base telephone has nice clickety 4H dial and brass plated finish. The E-1 handset has been polished and sanitized.

It has dating and patents circa 1922. The line cord and receiver cord are "dead old stock", stranded in time as they say; a great find for restorers, made of brown cloth faithful to the day they were made on those long gone weaving machines.

They will last generations free of failure or noise. The telephone is very clean and working and i ncludes a vintage solid oak "subset" with tuned ringers and good volume. The 4H mid-1930's metropolitan dial has been lubricated and calibrated and the porcelain ring with sharp unworn lettering. It has the distinctive clickety sounding dial the 4 type are renown for.

This instrument does have very minor imperfections with little affect on its overall appearance and are consistent with its age. They will not affect its performance or reliability.
