Antique CARPENTERS' TOOL BOX 33.5 Long HARDWOOD & BRASS CHEST Tiger Oak? Being offered for sale is the antique HARDWOOD. Medium weight/density wood - tiger oak, walnut, cherry? CARPENTER'S TOOL BOX / WOOD SAW CHEST. Featuring (3) carved wood saw-slots at interior, brass side handles, hinges, lock & escutcheon and steel lid-chain & snap latches.

No visible maker's mark(s) - most likely american. From circa the late 19th or early 20th century. As seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES.

Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. Good/VG antique condition with minor -to- moderate overall wear from normal use over the years. Small scuffs, scratches, stains, dings, dents, etc.

But NO major breaks or repairs. (see green arrows in 5th pic).

Box remains structurally rigid & ultra strong. Brass side handles and hinges are tight & strong. Are fully functional and snap shut nice & tight. Lock is most likely operational but NO key included. Superbly rich patina to all materials throughout. Gorgeous old chest with no shortage of character!! Measures 33-1/2" wide x 8-1/2" deep x 7-15/16 tall.
