Antique Shaw Walker quartersawn tiger oak stacking barrister bookcase. Shaw Walker was mainly known for filing cabinets and card file cabinets as well as early desks and office chairs.

Their barrister bookcases are kind of scarce. This bookcase has the golden oak finish. It is exceptionally clean inside and out. This bookcase is comprised of 5 stacking pieces.

We start at the bottom with the 4 legged base. Next up are three stacking glass doored book sections. Two sections are 10 1/2" tall inside clearance and the third is 9" tall inside clearance for books. All of the sections are 10 deep from front to back inside. Finally above the book sections is the top cap or crown.

All of the brass door pulls are original. The overall height of this bookcase is 47 5/8" tall, 34" wide from left to right and 11 1/2 deep from front to back (outside dimensions).
