Antique Sumter Telephone Mfg. Co Tiger Oak Hand Crank Telephone Very Rare

  
Rare wall mounted hand crank telephone by Sumter Telephone Manufacturing Company of Sumter, SC. The beautiful Tiger oak cabinet is in excellent condition. The bells, transmitter arm are brass and horn is trimmed in brass. This telephone has been in storage for many years and the receiver was broken. Telephone appears to be complete inside and out except for the battery which I removed.

The other Sumter phones I have seen also were without one so maybe they didn't come with a cover. But I made a cover which can be easily removed. Sumter made high quality phones from 1899 to 1919. I believe this to one of the earlier ones.
