MACEY TIGER OAK BARRISTER STACKING LAWYER'S SECTIONAL BOOKCASE With DRAWER BASE

  
Early 1900's, 6 piece quartersawn tiger oak Macey barrister bookcase with the scarce drawer in the base. Just look at all of the pictures of the wild tiger graining of the oak starting on the top cap and each of the sides down to the facing of the drawer and the base. This bookcase is comprised of 6 stacking sections. We start with the base with a pull out drawer followed by 4 stacking window book sections with finally at the top comes the crown. ALL of the glass is the antique wavy original glass.

Two of the book sections have the very early large black Fred Macey labels with double door pulls dating to about 1903. The other two sections are Macey from the next period of about 1910 with single door pulls. All of the pulls are the original brass.

Two of the book sections are 8" deep inside clearance while the other two sections are 8 1/2" deep. Please check the sizes of the books you want to store in these sections. There are three different heights for the book sections. One section is 8 1/2" tall, next are two 9 1/4" tall sections and finally there is one section that is 11 tall.

All of those measurements are for clearance underneath the raised doors. All of the book sections have the precision wheel and sprocket opening mechanism Macey used for exceptionally easy door opening and closings. The drawer in the base is 3 3/4" tall, 31 1/2" wide and 9 deep front to back inside. Please check my other listings as I have recently acquired a grouping of RARE early Macey bookcases.
