Very interesting style with a 9 spindle high skull cap spoon back, and hand punch beaded back and seat surround. The joinery appears to be butt end and all connections are made with single slot screws, all exposed surface screws being covered with wood buttons.
The rocker bottoms show moderate to frequent use, but the rest of the chair shows very little wear. Otherwise, no provenance on the piece.
Please see photos and message me with any questions. Thanks for visiting my auctions.I may not get it exactly right every time, so I appreciate any information you might wish to provide. All of my items (unless otherwise noted) are acquired from yard and estate sales, flea markets, thrift shops and the like. In other words, they are used. I inspect all items and describe them to the best of my ability, though there could be some tiny flaws that I may have missed or condition issues that I deem insignificant.
I perform a precursory cleaning as part of my inspection, but any detailed cleaning will be the responsibility of you, the new owner, and based on your preference to detail. I always pack very carefully, sometimes double boxing if I think it is appropriate. Paper or items that could be damaged from exposure to moisture are usually sealed for protection.
I do recycle, so you could be getting packaging material that has been previously used, but it is clean. I will often upgrade the method that you paid for if my discount allows. Priority rates based on size (not weight) have gone up dramatically for 2022.
This limits my ability to upgrade on some packages. Bernat Mill Antiques, 89 Elmdale Rd.
