Being offered for sale is this fantastic antique Tiger oak bookcase / display cabinet with fine acanthus carved columns and paw feet and working locks with key circa 1890's. This lovely 19th century bookcase has its original finish , original glass with its original tiger oak mullioned frames encased in glass in each door. This bookcase offers a tremendous amount of storage and display space for that special collection of books or displaying those special collectibles. The inside offers 8 original adjustable shelves that each measure 21 1/4 inches wide by 11 1/4 inches deep. The shelves rests on their original metal adjustable pegs that are stamped Pat' March'97. This bookcase is solid and tight and has its old original finish. The only thing I see is a small age shrinkage crack on the very top left which I have shown a close-up picture of which does not affect the strength or integrity of this piece at all. A beautiful antique bookcase not commonly found with acanthus carvings in oak that would be a wonderful addition to your home or office.
