Outstanding oversized American oak vanity dresser. Middle mirror swivels up and down.Side mirrors swivel sideways batwing style. The design elements combines tiger oak (sometimes called quarter sawn oak), carving at the top of the mirror and at the mirror harps, serpentine front, bat wing mirror design, 2 level top surface, and cabriole curved legs. The quality of the workmanship is incredible both in the visible and hidden construction elements. Fine detail in the carving, solid oak top, original hardware, dovetailed joints, etc. This is an original piece not a later reproduction.
Probably from about 1890s or 1900s. It was refinished many years ago. It has been previously restored including refinishing and various repairs over many years.
The mirror does show some its age with marks and fogging. Some of the old repairs are evident. Minor carving loss which may not be easily noticed.
