Victorian Round or Oval Solid Tiger Oak Dining Table & 2 Skirted Leaves 45 in. We are proud to offer an extremely nice estate furniture. It is simple, elegant, and classic all rolled into one. Wonderful round dining table and 2 leaves.
Solid tiger (quarter sawn) oak with outstanding grain pattern was used in the construction. Very unusual with 2 skirted leaves. The skirted leaves makes a good look when used and changes the shape to an oval. Split base construction shows very good quality.5 legs positioned to look more like a pedestal base. Middle leg gives support when the leaves are used.
An old lever helps hold the 2 sides together and has a patent date of 1904. Table is 45 inch long and has 2 additional 12 inch leaves. Extended it is about 69 inches.Would extend longer if you have additional leaves made. Height is about 30 inch.
This is an original vintage antique item which was restored many years ago. We believe that the skirted leaves were made at that time with quarter saw oak. You can see the many years of honest wear and use that occurred before and after restoration. Can see faint shadows of older dark water spots which are photographed. It was previously professionally restored many years ago.
There is a scratch that is photographed. Can see normal wear and usage since. Please view the photographs carefully. Can provide additional ones if requested. There are reflections in the photographs.
