Both beautiful and very well made item. Wonderful quarter sawn (tiger) oak was used in the manufacture of this striking piece.

Simple design elements which make it special. Well thought out design with a beveled mirror, hooks for hanging items, a place for umbrellas and canes, a seat to put on / take off your shoes, and a storage area under the seat. Has the original hooks with the registered number of 546897 on the side.

This number was registered in 1909, so the hall seat was most likely made soon after that time. It is an extremely versatile piece of furniture. Although the original intention of this item was by the entrance of the house, have seen them used in creative ways: bedroom, large bathroom, etc. Was professionally refinished many years ago.

This is an original piece not a later reproduction. It has an older restoration job on it which is still in good condition. Some fogging in the mirror. Typically small shrinkage on the wood.

The wear is normal and appropriate to an item of this age. There are reflections in the photographs. Dont miss out on this really wonderful item!
