Vintage Victorian American Tiger Oak Round Coffee Table Circa 1900's. Beautiful American quarter sawn oak (1/4 or tiger oak) round coffee table.
The wood on the table top is striking tiger oak sometimes referred to as quarter sawn. Nice rope design on the table skirt. The base is more ornate and detailed than the typical Victorian dining table.Old and possibly original wheels. It is an original piece not a later reproduction. It dates from the 1900's to the 1910's.
Started it's life as a dining or kitchen full size table. Later cut down for a coffee table. Not an exact circle due to the expected wood shrinkage that is expected after 100 years. It is about 48 inch in one direction and 47 3/4 inch in the other.Height is about 18 inches. The wheels could be easily removed if you would like it to be about 1 inch shorter. May have been reglued / restored at some time. Finish is good for the age, but does have the normal wear that comes from 100+ years.
Scratches and marks that has blended into a softer patina. Please view the photographs carefully.
